This is an antique bronze statue from Thailand.  It is approximately 100 years old, and depicts a female teppanom, or thepphanom.  These celestial beings can be male or female, and they descended to Earth after the Buddha attained enlightenment to serve as devotional guardians of temples and their artifacts and treasure. It measures
27.5 cm (10 7/8 inches) tall, 15 cm (6.0 inches) wide at the knee and foot, 5 cm deep (2 inches) at the hands and 7.0 x 10 cm (2 3/4 x 4 inches) at the base.
It weighs 1220 grams (42.9 oz. or 2.6 lbs.).
I have partnered with an American friend living in Thailand to make this and other collectible antique pieces available.  He has spent most of his adult life living and working in Nepal and Thailand, while also traveling frequently to Burma, India, and Cambodia, and has amassed an incredible collection of these and other hand made antique wares over the last 40 years.  None of his relatives have any interest in the items, so he has asked me to help find them new homes with those who will appreciate their beauty and artistic value.
